Rockstar Games has announced Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, a new video that will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 3:00 PM ET — six hours before it goes live on Rockstar's own YouTube channel and the official Grand Theft Auto VI website at 9:00 PM ET the same day.
It's the first time Rockstar has partnered with a streaming service to debut Grand Theft Auto marketing material. Netflix described the arrangement as "a first-of-its-kind partnership to premiere an extended look at the next evolution in the groundbreaking Grand Theft Auto series." Viewers without a Netflix subscription don't need one to eventually see it — the video becomes freely available on YouTube the same evening, just six hours later.
Rockstar has not explicitly labeled this a numbered "Trailer 3," and outlets differ on whether it will play like a traditional cinematic trailer or a longer, documentary-style showcase of game systems and world detail. Either way, it's the first new GTA VI video since Trailer 2 released in May 2025, and fans have been anticipating a third look since Rockstar's June 2026 cover art reveal reignited the marketing push.
The announcement doesn't change anything about the game itself — Grand Theft Auto VI remains on track for its November 19, 2026 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, per Rockstar's official release-date confirmation. No PC version, price change, or edition change came with this news.
