One of Trailer 2's most explosive beats belongs to the Grenade Launcher: Lucia Caminos fires it at pursuing police vehicles from a battered bus during a chase sequence, sending cruisers flipping. Trailer breakdowns such as GrandTheft.gg's singled the moment out as the clearest confirmation yet that GTA VI keeps the series' appetite for heavy ordnance.
Analyses including PC Gamer's weapons roundup note the launcher looks visually similar to its GTA V counterpart, a compact multi-shot design in the mold of the Milkor MGL. Rockstar has not named the GTA VI version, but "Grenade Launcher" is the name the series itself has used since the weapon debuted in San Andreas and continued through GTA IV's episodes and GTA V.
Explosive weapons have always sat at the top of GTA's escalation ladder — the tools you reach for when a wanted level spirals — and putting one in Lucia's hands mid-chase fits how Rockstar has framed her and Jason's spiraling crime spree across both trailers. Notably, the launcher is one of the few weapons in the footage shown actually being fired rather than just carried.
Unconfirmed: capacity, ammunition types, how it is acquired, and whether other launchers (RPGs, homing weapons) return alongside it. Only the trailer moment itself is official.
