Tucked into Grand Theft Auto VI's official footage is a light machine gun with a large box magazine, spotted in a gun store scene that trailer analyses widely compare to the series' Ammu-Nation chain. Rockstar has not named it; roundups by TheGamer and PC Gamer describe it as appearing based on the M249 SAW, the same platform behind GTA V's Combat MG.

The glimpse matters less for the gun itself than for its setting: the storefront scene, catalogued in Trailer 2 breakdowns, shows racks of rifles and shotguns in multiple configurations, which analysts read as evidence that over-the-counter gun shopping — an Ammu-Nation fixture since GTA III — returns in Leonida, with a deeper customization catalog than GTA V offered.

Belt-fed support weapons have been GTA's top-tier bullet hoses since San Andreas' minigun era; GTA V split the class into the MG and Combat MG. If GTA VI follows form, this M249-style weapon would sit at the expensive, late-game end of the arsenal rather than in early story missions.

Unconfirmed: its name, price, availability, and whether the gun store scene reflects a purchasable in-game location. Only the footage itself is official; everything else is inference from series history.
