Not every organization in Grand Theft Auto VI is out to rob banks. The Thrillbilly Mud Club appeared by name in GTA VI Trailer 1 (December 2023), which cut to a muddy off-road park packed with monster trucks, ATVs, and swamp buggies churning past a wooden viewing platform — one of the reveal's most talked-about slices of backwoods Leonida. The same sequence produced the so-called "mud girl," a dirt-covered spectator in an American-flag bikini whose brief appearance became one of the trailer's breakout images.

The real-world reference is unusually specific. Game Rant's breakdown matched the club to Redneck Mud Park in Punta Gorda, Florida — a genuine venue whose lifted trucks, mud-bogging events, and crowd energy line up almost shot-for-shot with the trailer footage, right down to both names riffing on the same stereotype. It's a good example of how deep Rockstar's Florida research runs beyond the beaches of Vice City: the mud-truck circuit is a real subculture across the state's interior, the same rural Leonida that's home to towns like Ambrosia.

Rockstar hasn't said whether the Thrillbilly Mud Club is a visitable venue, an event series, or the banner of an actual club roster — no members have been named, and any story role is unconfirmed (see the story so far for what is). Precedent suggests it's playable space: GTA V turned similar Americana into activities like the Blaine County arms fair and off-road races, and Trailer 1's monster trucks appear in multiple liveries and configurations, which several outlets read as a hint at vehicle customization and organized off-road events.
