The smallest crew in Grand Theft Auto VI is also the one players will spend the whole game inside: the two-person partnership of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar's official site frames them as a modern outlaw couple — Jason a Keys drug runner who wants an easy life, Lucia fresh out of Leonida Penitentiary and unwilling to wait for the good life to arrive on its own. When an easy score goes wrong, per Rockstar's own setup, the pair are dragged into a criminal conspiracy that stretches across the entire state of Leonida.
Rockstar has leaned openly into the Bonnie-and-Clyde archetype in describing the duo, and both trailers sell that dynamic: Trailer 1 (December 2023) introduced them mid-crime-spree in the Leonida Keys, while Trailer 2 (May 2025) showed the pair working together on robberies and shootouts, including the now-famous masked convenience-store hold-up. ESPN's coverage of the character reveal noted that a committed two-protagonist crew is a first for the series — GTA V rotated between three leads, but Jason and Lucia operate as a single unit.
The duo doesn't work in a vacuum. Official character pages connect them outward to the rest of Leonida's underworld: Jason lives rent-free in a house owned by smuggler Brian Heder in exchange for criminal legwork, and veteran bank robber Raul Bautista is described by Rockstar as always hunting for talent willing to take big risks — exactly the kind of talent an ambitious two-person crew provides. Franchise context: mainline GTA protagonists have usually climbed someone else's ladder — CJ inside the Grove Street Families, Niko doing jobs for Liberty City's factions. Jason and Lucia instead form the organization themselves, with the game's other crews and gangs orbiting around their partnership. Anything about how the duo's story ends, or who betrays whom, remains speculation until Rockstar says otherwise.
